Levitation for Beginners

Happy Friday to everyone!

It's been an idea to try levitating for so long with the use if the magic shutter, and I would like to present you with my first ever attempt in levitating. Since this is my (and the model's) first time with levitation, I'm really sorry for the awkward poses and timing etc. Everything was just trial and error, but it was super fun to try something unordinary and magical!

I was greatly inspired by yowayowacamera, who takes really spectacular photos. Too bad she stopped updating already!

Thanks for reading and have a great weekend!
If you have any levitating photos you would like to share, feel free to leave it in the comments below.

Top 5 Supplies I Need for School

We all have to eventually go back to hell, whether we like it or not- or at least I have to. Hell meaning school. Sure, the Christmas break was beautiful and well spent (with the computer), but we can't stay on break forever and be unproductive butts for our lives. It is the start of January and back to classes.

On to school!

Sometimes getting ready for school and preparing my bag can be quite a challenge, especially if I don't know what to put in. Here are my top 5 supplies for school that helps a lot with my everyday school life.

1. Writing Materials
A few of my materials include 2 G-Tech Pens, a blue and green MUJI pen, some ugly eraser I randomly find in my house, Pilot mechanic pen, drawing pens. Writing in school is everything. School is basically 70% writing- notes, test papers, seatworks, doodles.

2. Notebook
Notebooks are where I like to jot down information mentioned during lectures etc. In most cases, I relay on my notes rather than the actual textbook. Writing notes is also a great way to remember the highlighted details in an organized manner. This Maped notebook even has mini flaps in each divider, where I can place my handouts and extras.

3. Planner
If you're someone like me, who is really forgetful, the planner saves lives. Write deadlines, events, tests, activities, birthdays, homework and more. That way, I'm 96% ready for school! It's also very nice to decorate the planner, especially when classes get a bit boring.

4. Folders
I'll have to admit, but being organized was a decision I never regretted. I remember crumpling my papers and trashing it in my bag, when I was in grade school. Now, it doesn't take me hours to look for test papers or circulars! I usually have two of them; one for test papers and another for circular.

5. Calculator
Calculators aren't urgently important, but still useful for everyday school life. They aren't just used for specific subjects to help pass. I often use them to calculate my average score or to check if I'm failing in a certain subject or money related questions. Math is used everywhere!

These are my top 5 things I absolutely need in my bag, or I'd die in school.

I'd love to hear what's in your school bag!
Thank you for reading.

Corregidor Weekend

But before that, I just want to say Happy Holidays and a Happy New Year to everyone! Even though it's quite late already. Anyway, after my last post, we all sort of disappeared into our own hole but now we're back! (literally in my and lanie's case. We both came back from Harbin some three days ago)

So before leaving for Harbin, my two sisters, mom and I all went on a Corregidor tour! (he he heh tenks dealgrocer) and it was amazing. We stayed two days, Saturday and Sunday. First thing we did when we got there was ride the tranvia to take the tour, then after the tour was over we went back to rest into the hotel, then back to see the sunset and explore the Malinta Tunnel where during WW2 it became some sort of hospital. Oh and we visited the Corregidor hospital itself too, except something like.. ruins of what it used to be (no pictures on those tho, since dark = sad photos). The next morning, actually early in time for the sunrise, we got up and going yeaaaah! I think we just went inside one of the Japanese caves, then went back. It felt pretty short, but since our guide was very informative (apparently his dad used to work there and he frequented the place during his youth and grew up with it) we got to learn more about the place and enjoy more than we would have. (And i'm sorry if this part is quite incoherent, I can't seem to write properly despite how much I love history)

Now, off with the long paragraphs and on with the photos! As usual, I used Penelo-p.

Oh oh oh wait! I want to do this thing about putting a song for every post (i'll expand to playlist sometime, when I get off my lazy bum and use my 8tracks account) and so here, Welcome Home, Son by Radical Face seems fitting. (it is also a very very very amazing song that you have to listen to, dear reader. just do it)

(if you want to know what Corregidor is before scanning the photos, then you might want to visit your dear friend, google beforehand)

heh heh heh

my sisters and I had been arguing on the meaning of these flags. One said it was the nationality of most tourists, while I said something along the lines of allies. Apparently they were the axis and allied powers, so I ended up being more correct than her, haha!

I didn't try to focus on the trees, rather I zoomed out.

I had to take two photos, because i didn't notice that the goat had looked behind on the first.

the mouth of the Malinta Tunnel is visible in this photo, if you look closely

i have no idea how the sky became purple.

COOLCOOLCOOL

had nothing much to put as captions tho. I hope these pictures were.. entertaining? Or appealing enough, I'm not so sure. Regardless, Corregidor is a wonderful place jam-packed with so much history. Definitely a must-visit.

Before the Corregidor Weekend

From here onwards would be what I'd been up to after the photoshoot last november and before the Corregidor weekend, namely shooting some infomercial video for class, and Lanie's birthday celebration (but it was the pre-birthday, when the rest of us prepared a bunch of little somethings for her without her knowing)

Home by Gabrielle Aplin

I forgot what these were called, but in Harbin we saw fake flowers like these as well.

Our close friend's name is Sydney, and we usually infiltrate her house. They have these plants, and they're kinda cute.

This reminded me of our investigative project because we're using shells! haha sadness.

aaaah this is cat's younger sister. I'm totally not a creeper.

during the infomercial video shooting (which was in cat's house), someone took this photo, and it's adorable.

because selfie-ing on glass is pretty cool.

.................lol

Anyway, these are what I had been up to. I disappeared into a black hole, but I've returned! (probably to disappear again, but life gets in the way)

2014: Just Do It

Welcome to 2013 4! (I'm going to have to get used to that.)

Last year was filled with tons of great experience with myself, my hobbies and my social life (still working on it, but hey, it's improving)! Some of my interests of last year (if I remember correctly) are photography, drawing, make-up, (Super) Dangan Ronpa, cosplaying, photoshop, tumblr, roleplaying and lots more.

This year, I want to discover new things and at the same time, broaden my knowledge of my hobbies. Mostly, try new stuff, though, because #yolo. A new year means new opportunities. Another school year (harder than the last) for new learning, another summer for summer classes and free time and wow anything really I love summer, another Christmas and basically, another year.

For 2014, I made a brief goals and wishlist that I want to achieve during the year. Although I'm probably not going to be too strict, but if at some point in life I get stumped, I can always reflect back to the little list I made to redirect me. Also, due to my unstable motivation to do things, who knows if my interest will end up dying.

1. I just want to experience bulk shopping, like coming home with such beautiful blouses and skirts omg. I really want somewhere cheap, and I've been thinking of Taobao.

2.  More art books! /screams I really want indie artbooks though and most especially from artists who I really admire, or a collaboration project thing ya know.

3. It's been such a long time, since I cosplayed (like Summer). I already have a wig. I just need a costume.

4. I really want to travel around, particularly Asian countries like, Hongkong, Singapore, Taiwan, Japan, Korea, China(?).

5. I would love make-up tools and product, especially ulzzang related ones (because I am so hooked to those at the moment, ha). Also, I want to actually know how to put on make-up. Whenever I do, my eye liner goes all wobbly.

6. Continue my honor streak, by getting averages of A's and hopefully even a straight A(+) in the future!

Thank you for reading! Comments, opinions and your resolutions are welcomed and encouraged.

On to 2014!
