Top 5 Supplies I Need for School

We all have to eventually go back to hell, whether we like it or not- or at least I have to. Hell meaning school. Sure, the Christmas break was beautiful and well spent (with the computer), but we can't stay on break forever and be unproductive butts for our lives. It is the start of January and back to classes.

On to school!

Sometimes getting ready for school and preparing my bag can be quite a challenge, especially if I don't know what to put in. Here are my top 5 supplies for school that helps a lot with my everyday school life.

1. Writing Materials
A few of my materials include 2 G-Tech Pens, a blue and green MUJI pen, some ugly eraser I randomly find in my house, Pilot mechanic pen, drawing pens. Writing in school is everything. School is basically 70% writing- notes, test papers, seatworks, doodles.

2. Notebook
Notebooks are where I like to jot down information mentioned during lectures etc. In most cases, I relay on my notes rather than the actual textbook. Writing notes is also a great way to remember the highlighted details in an organized manner. This Maped notebook even has mini flaps in each divider, where I can place my handouts and extras.

3. Planner
If you're someone like me, who is really forgetful, the planner saves lives. Write deadlines, events, tests, activities, birthdays, homework and more. That way, I'm 96% ready for school! It's also very nice to decorate the planner, especially when classes get a bit boring

4. Folders
I'll have to admit, but being organized was a decision I never regretted. I remember crumpling my papers and trashing it in my bag, when I was in grade school. Now, it doesn't take me hours to look for test papers or circulars! I usually have two of them; one for test papers and another for circular.

5. Calculator
Calculators aren't urgently important, but still useful for everyday school life. They aren't just used for specific subjects to help pass. I often use them to calculate my average score or to check if I'm failing in a certain subject or money related questions. Math is used everywhere!

These are my top 5 things I absolutely need in my bag, or I'd die in school.

I'd love to hear what's in your school bag!
Thank you for reading.

  3. I'm such a nerd and love buying back to school things! haha. I just bought a new laptop so that has pretty much replaced all my binder and notebooks, but I love my day planner & take it everywhere with me.

    1. I know how you feel! It's just refreshing to buy these school supplies. Congratulations on your new laptop! I find it faster to type than handwrite, so that's a pretty good idea.

  4. Back to school with three girls at three different schools is a complete nightmare. Especially when it's hard to know what we really need or can reuse in December (order deadline) when they are still at school. I'm convinced though by waiting and hitting the shops are selves we save a small fortune each and every year.

Thanks for linking up with our One New Thing a Week Challenge. Back again on Tuesday, with the link open all week. You will never guess what I'm getting up to this week.

    1. That sounds really hectic. I also reuse my school supplies, and I agree it saves a lot of money. Also, no problem! The challenge seems really fun and I'm excited for more. I'd love to see what you have up on your sleeve for next week.
